West Ham United Football Club have officially parted ways with Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui after an indifferent start to the 2024-2025 season.
At the time of his sacking, the former Real Madrid and Sevilla head coach rank 14th in the English Premier League after picking up six wins, five draws and nine losses.
Lopetegui’s sacking means that West Ham and Ghana Black Stars midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, is set to play under a new manager/ head coach with West Ham reportedly in talks with former Chelsea manager Graham Potter.
Since moving from Right To Dream Academy to Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, Kudus has played under seven head coaches including those at Ajax Amsterdam and West Ham.
Kudus played at Ajax from 2020-2021 to 2023-2024 under Erik Ten Hag, Alfred Schreuder, John Heitinga, Maurice Steijn and Hedwiges Maduro.
He joined West Ham on the final day of the main 2023-2024 transfer window in late August and has since played under David Moyes and Lopetegui.
In his second season at West Ham, Kudus has three goals and an assist in 15 league games.
With Ghana, Kudus has played under James Kwasi Appiah, C.K. Akonnor, Milovan Rajevac, Chris Hughton and Otto Addo in the latter’s two stints as Black Stars head coach.
