Ghana’s Black Satellites will play against host nation Egypt in the quarterfinals of the 2025 AFCON Under 20 Championship for a place in the semifinals and qualification to this year’s FIFA Under 20 World Cup that is scheduled to be held in Chile.
The crucial game takes place June 30 Stadium on May 12 at 18:00 GMT in one of the standout ties in the quarterfinals. Nigeria take on defending champions Senegal on May 12 at the Suez Canal Stadium in another eye catching encounter.
Sierra Leone have been drawn against Morocco and South Africa take on Democratic Republic of Congo in the other remaining quarterfinal games.
Desmond Ofei’s team topped Group C with seven points from winning two and drawing the other in three outings at the preliminary stage of the competition.
Ghana beat Senegal and Central African Republic 1-0 apiece after drawing 1-1 with D.R. Congo in the opening game.
