Graham Potter has officially left his role as manager of West Ham United Football Club and has been replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Englishman Potter left the club in the wee hours on Saturday, September 27 with the London club announcing the departure via an official statement.

“Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26 season have not matched expectations, and the Board of Directors believe that a change is necessary in order to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible” a section of the statement read.

Minutes after the coaching change, football insider Fabrizio Romano communicated that Nuno Espirito Santo will be named as his replacement.

Failure to make it to Europe’s premier competition coupled with a friction between Santo and Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis led to Espirito Santo’s sacking.
