Black Stars forward Brandon Solomon Thomas-Asante’s brilliant run in the 2025-2026 season is extraordinary and it’s a credit to all the hard work the England-born Ghanaian has put into his craft.
He said this after Thomas-Asante scored both goals in Coventry City’s 2-1 win over Portsmouth in the EFL Championship. The win extends Coventry’s unbeaten streak to 11 with the streak including seven wins for Coventry to lead the Championship standings.
Thomas-Asante’s brace improves the former West Bromwich Albion player’s tally to eight goals and three assists in 13 games in all competitions and Frank Lampard talked about Thomas-Asante’s improved form.
“Yeah he is [on an extraordinary run] and it’s all credit to him because he works so hard. He’s got so much energy about him…you move him around and nothing changes. He’s effective in the 10, on the sides, up front…his pressing is great.”

“You can see his talent…but what he’s doing to maximize the talent at the minute is getting him big results and us results. He just has to keep going with that” Lampard said to Coventry media.

Thomas-Asante was part of the Black Stars team that beat Comoros 1-0 to qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
