Fixtures for the Normalisation Committee’s Special Competition have been announced by the committee. The pairings for the various matches were released on Thursday.

The competition was put together by the committee to help clubs stay active as work on the resumption of competitive football in Ghana is done.

There has been a freeze on football since June 2018 after the airing of the Anas “Number 12” Documentary.

The Special Competition was announced in December 2018 with fuller details coming out in January 2019.

The fixtures announced represent the playoff stages with the successful teams heading into Tier 1 while the losing go into Tier 2.

The playoff matches will be honoured on a home and away basis.

The initial playoff stage will see the 16 Premier League teams face each other while the 48 Division One League teams will play among themselves.

In terms of the Premier League teams, they have been placed in Zone A (Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars, Eleven Wonders, Medeama SC, Bechem United, Berekum Chelsea, Wa All Stars and AshantiGold) and Zone B (Hearts of Oak, Karela United FC, Dreams FC, Inter Allies, Liberty Professionals, WAFA SC, Ebusua Dwarfs and Elmina Sharks).

Some fixtures for Day one are Kotoko vs Aduana, AshGold vs Eleven Wonders, Hearts of Oak vs Dreams.

Below are Zone A and Zone B fixtures for Day 1:

Each tier of the main competition will have eight groups of four teams.
