[VIDEO] Emmanuel Duah’s winning goal in the 1991 U-17 World Cup final

In 1991, Ghana got a place in all conversations on youth football after they beat Spain 1-0 in the final of the 1991 U-17 World Cup in Italy.

The team had excited fans with their very entertaining brand of attacking football.

They were led by Nii Odartey Lamptey and he had the likes of Emmanuel Duah, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Sebastian Barnes for company as they went all the way to win the title.

The final against Spain was settled by a 77th minute header from Emmanuel Duah.

The 1991 title was the first of Ghana’s two at the U-17 level.
