The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has rewarded each member of the 40 member contingent with an amount of $4000 for exceeding expectations at the just ended U – 20 Afcon.
In all they will receive an amount of $160,000 for reaching the finals of the competition.
The Hippos, who were making their debut at the competition, enjoyed a spirited run to the finals where they suffered defeat at the hands of Ghana’s Black Satellites.
The gesture is to show appreciation for what the team achieved and to spur them on to do more in future.
