“Phenomenal, breathtaking”- Stade Rennes fans go crazy over Kamaldeen goal vs Metz

Ghanaian winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana, has been turning heads in the French Ligue 1 Uber Eats since he joined Stade Rennes in the off-season. His pace, skill, and goals have turned him into the one of the most exciting players in the league and fans of Stade Rennes are very smitten by what they have seen from the player.

Their love and admiration for the Black Stars wide man went up a few more levels after he nutmegged a Metz defender and scored with an almost nonchalant toe poke to give Rennes a 2-0 lead in a match they eventually won 3-0 on the road.

After the match, Stade Rennes’ official Twitter handle asked their fans to describe Kamaldeen’s goal and the responses highlighted just how much love and admiration the fans had for the player.

One fan, @Peewee2229, said “Sulemana is phenomenal. The goal is sensational just like all the other he has scored for Rennes.”

@Magic4smile simply described the goal as “breathtaking” while @Fredericrennes added that the goal was “a jewel”.
The goal even generated a mini-debate among two accounts who had responded to the thread.
One fan, @FloretFrancois, tweeted: “the goal was Messi-like” but he was quickly countered by @rdrnonofficiel who said that “Messi is not capable of scoring such goals any longer.”

Kamaldeen’s display against Metz earned him a rating of 8 (for his goal and the 18 duels he contested) in L’Equipe’s Ligue 1 Team of the Week. His two team mates, Hamari Traore, Martin Terrier, and Gaetan Laborde, were also in the team.

The match at Metz was Kamaldeen Sulemana’s 10th league appearance and he has 4 goals in all competitions for the Stade Rennes.
