Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku is hopeful Access Bank’s one-year headline sponsorship deal for the Division 1 league will be extended.

The Nigerian multinational bank is investing $250,000 into Ghana’s second tier league for the 2022/2023 season.

Speaking at the official launch of the partnership, the elated Kurt Okraku is confident of a fruitful marriage with Access Bank.

“We are extremely happy about this relationship.  It’s a relationship that we want to keep for as long as the Almighty God will allow. It’s a relationship that I believe will impact positively on the lives of boys who will not normally have the opportunity of playing football from the woods of Ghana. And we believe that if we work very well on this relationship, the investment you are making into Ghana football will even soar higher. We are happy with what you have agreed to invest with the hope that you will be encouraged by our good ways and go beyond this to invest more.”

The 2022/23 Access Bank Division One League competition is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of Friday, September 30 to Monday, October 3, 2022.

The league will be played in a Zone 1A, Zone 1B, Zone 2 and Zone 3 format.
