Game 2 of the 2022 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Playoff Finals Series is scheduled to be played out later tonight at the Prisons Court in Cantonments at 4:00 PM.

The second of the best of three game series has Braves of Customs leading 1-0 ahead of defending league champions Reformers of Prisons. In Game One, Braves beat Reformers 76-61.

However, the second game couldn’t conclude with the game halted on multiple occasions due to rainfall and a foreign object thrown on the court.

A black out on the court premises with 7:02 minutes remaining in the final quarter brought the game to a controversial end with Braves leading 48-42.

In the aftermath of the controversy, ABL Director Alex Kukula has confirmed to CITI Sports the remaining minutes of the game will be played later today at 16:00 GMT after meeting with Captains and Coaches of both teams.

Reformers swept the playoff final series last season against Braves to clinch its first league title and were scheduled to represent Ghana at the preliminary stage of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) but couldn’t journey to Niger to compete in the tournament.

Braves of Customs clinched the ABL Women’s Division title by beating Reformers 45-43 to clinch the three games series (2-1).
