New Black Stars Head Coach Chris Hughton has lauded the Kumasi crowd ahead of Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Angola.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference the former Brighton manager stated the Kumasi fans could make a difference:
“I know the difference Kumasi can make, it is passionate and vocal here, and any team that wants to do well needs vocal fans.”
He added this also meant the players needed to play well:
“The team has a responsibility to return this, so the supporters must enjoy it, we cannot guarantee any result, but we can guarantee the team will give everything to get a result”
When asked about selection issues Houghton was reticent:
“During this evening and tomorrow, I will name my team but as we speak only me and my close technical staff know the team”
