Germany’s Ambassador to Ghana, Daniel Krull, is optimistic about the national team’s chances of reaching the finals in the ongoing EURO 2024, hosted by his home country.

He expressed this confidence in an exclusive interview with ChannelOne Sports following Germany’s decisive 5-1 victory over Scotland in their first group match on Friday, June 14, where he held a viewing party at his residence in Accra.
The event was attended by prominent sports figures, including former Black Stars Head Coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor, former Black Stars Defender Anthony Baffoe, and renowned Ghanaian musician, songwriter, and creative director Kwame Nsiah-Apau, also known as Okyeame Kwame.
Krull, pleased with Germany’s strong start under the leadership of Coach Julian Nagelsmann at the Allianz Arena, emphasized that anything less than reaching the finals would be a disappointment.

He highlighted the team’s effective blend of youthful talent and seasoned experience as a key factor in Germany’s prospect of reaching the finals with the former Bayern Munich Manager in charge.
Well, if you ask Germans these days, the expectations are very high.
So everything apart from being in the final will be a dissapointment, i think i am a little bit moderate.
So i hope that, they make it to at least to the semi-finals and then we are in the hands of God, he joked.
Germany won the European Championship twice in 1972 hosted by Belgium and in 1996 when England hosted it, ever since that time, the Die Mannschaft have struggled to win it for the third time.
They finished as runners-up in 2008 when Austria and Switzerland co-hosted the tournament.
Germany will take on Hungary on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at MHP Arena stadium, Stuttgart City, Germany.
