Black Stars and Leicester City winger, Fatawu Issahaku, is hoping for the 2024-2025 season to go well with Leicester set to compete in the English Premier League after gaining promotion from the EFL Championship.

Issahaku said this in an interview with Leicester City media after signing a permanent a five year deal worth 14 million Pounds with The Foxes after playing out the 2023-2024 season on loan from Sporting Lisbon.

Aided by Issahaku’s 13 assists and seven goals in 43 games last season, Leicester gained promotion to the EPL after spending just a year in the Championship and is hoping the upcoming season goes well.

“For me, [to win promotion] was amazing. It felt so good and it was one of the best moments in my career. I feel so good and I just want to keep going. I hope that this season goes well as well.”

“They’re amazing team-mates. Everyone at the Club was giving energy to the team and it felt so good. I feel so proud. For me, I take it as the beginning. I’m just getting started.”
