Norwich City’s Forson Amankwah has been called up to join the Black Stars for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
The Norwich City midfielder will join the rest of the squad in Kumasi on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, to prepare for the Group F opener on Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The 21-year-old has made an impressive start at the Carrow Road, contributing two assists in six appearances since his transfer from Red Bull Salzburg.
Amamkwah, who previously played for the West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), has already earned two caps for Ghana, having played against Nigeria and Uganda in March.
Ghana is set to face Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 5, before travelling to Morocco to take on Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
