Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu has stated that he has made progress in his development as a player specifically as a defender.
He said this in an interview with AS Monaco media that also had him praise Monaco head coach Adi Hutter for his fine work with the French Principality club. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Salisu joined Monaco last season from English Premier League side Southampton and after missing a significant chunk of time earlier that season to injury, the former Real Valladolid player has grown to become an important player for the club.
“I think I have progressed with and without the ball. With our way of playing, we play with the ball very often. As a defender, we have to be good with the ball at our feet and without the ball, I feel like I am winning more duels and making more interceptions compared to last season.”

Monaco have suffered back to back losses Benfica in the UEFA Champions League and Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1.
