Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Cycling Federation, Dennis Moore, has revealed that he is disappointed Professor Francis Dodoo missed out on becoming Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after Kofi Iddie Adams was nominated as the Sports and Recreation Minister-Designate.
The veteran sports journalist believes that former Ghana athlete and administrator, Professor Francis Dodoo, has the qualities and experience to make for a fine Sports Minister.
“I was thinking Professor Francis Dodoo; who is now a Presidential advisor. Francis Dodoo was a former athlete, he was a former Ghana Olympic Committee President and I have worked with him. He knows the terrain of the sporting disciplines. Apart from Francis who else? I cried when his name didn’t pop up as the Sports Minister honestly.”

As an athlete, Francis Dodoo competed in the long jump and triple jump events and won gold at the 1987 African Games and represented Ghana in four Olympics including the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
