Ghana forward Samuel Obeng has made his debut since joining Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club as a free agent.

The 27 year old player played seven minutes in Wydad’s 2-0 win over Hassania in the Botola Pro League; Morocco’s Botola League is one of Africa’s high profile leagues.

The win is Wydad’s fourth in a row and takes the club to fourth place in the 16 team league standings with 36 points; 13 points behind league leaders RS Berkane.

Obeng, who joined Wydad from Portuguese side Casa Pia, had four touches and completed all two pass attempts while winning his aerial duel in the contest.

Playing against Hassania marked Obeng’s 14th appearance in all competitions in the 2024-2025 season including 11 in the Portuguese League and two in the Portuguese Cup.
