Former Black stars Defender Afo Dodoo

Former Black Stars defender, Afo Dodoo, has expressed confidence in Ghana’s national team ahead of their crucial clash against Chad in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The match which will take place at the Accra Sports stadium on Friday, March 21 ,2025 at 7pm is set to be officiated by Ahmed Abdul Razak from Libya in the matchday 5 group I encounter .

Speaking in an interview with Channel One Sports, Dodoo highlighted the impressive form of Ghanaian players at club level and believes they can carry that momentum into the upcoming match.

Their performances are very positive. Every week, they are scoring, and they are creating chances. I believe they can bring this form into the Chad game

With Ghana currently sitting on 9 points, a victory in this match will take them to 12 points, strengthening their position in the qualification race. The former defender also urged fans to show up in numbers to support the team, emphasizing the importance of both crowd energy and player performance.

Like I said, supporters have to come, and the players also have to perform. Where we are, winning this game will take us to 12 points

Despite acknowledging that no game is easy, Dodoo remains confident in the Black Stars’ ability to secure a crucial win.

“This game, I believe we are going to win-not just because it’s Chad, but because we are prepared to win,

The Black Stars will look to continue their momentum and take a step closer to World Cup qualification when they face Chad in their next fixture.
