A contingent from Italian Serie A side Como Football Club has arrived in Ghana ahead of an extensive list of activities based around football and community engagements.
The arrived in the West African nation with members of the club’s academy and members of the female team (including Mathilde Juul Hansen) that also competes in the Female Serie A.
Como finished 10th in the Serie A in impressive fashion as the Cesc Fabregas in its first after returning to the top flight.
Illias Hassan, Head of Coach Communication and a member of sports outfit Sports Creates Memories, pointed to how big football is in Ghana as a major reason to come to Ghana.
“We are establishing camps at the grassroots in Accra. We are looking at players from seven years down to 18 years. Ghana is a lovely country…football is a big thing in Ghana and gathers a lot of people together” Hassan said.

Fabregas was heavily linked to coach Inter Milan before Milan appointed former player Cristian Chivu as the head coach to replace Simone Inzaghi. Scroll down to watch video.
