Former Tottenham Hotspurs manager Ange Postecoglou is heavily tipped to be named as Nottingham Forest’s manager in the wake of Nuno Espirito Santo’s dismissal from the club.
Portuguese coach Espirito Santo led Forest for almost two full seasons after steering Forest from relegation in the 2023-2024 season as a replacement for Steve Cooper to qualify to the Europa League in the 2024-2025 season representing Forest’s best achievement in over two decades.
However, tension with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis stemming from Nottingham missing out on qualifying to the UEFA Champions League off that brilliant run last season led to a breakdown in their relationship.
Espirito Santo confessed this at a presser while indicating that his relationship with Forest’s Sporting Director Edu wasn’t the best as he pointed out that there wasn’t enough time to integrate newly signed players into the team during the off-season. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Aussie trainer Postecoglou ended Tottenham’s 17 year title drought by winning the Europa League title last season but his overly aggressive style led to several injuries to key players that led to a 17th place finish in the league standings, played a role in his dismissal.

He is the favourite to land the Forest job while managers like Glasgow Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and Fulham manager Marco Silva have also been named as possible replacements.
