Czech Republic–based striker Prince Kwabena Adu, Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah, and CF Montreal forward Prince Osei Owusu have earned their first-ever Black Stars call-ups for this week’s international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.

Prince Osei Owusu, who recently joined CF Montreal after two seasons with Toronto FC; where he scored nine goals in 31 games; was born in Wertheim, Germany, and developed through the VfB Stuttgart academy.

The 28-year-old forward went on to play for Hoffenheim, Arminia Bielefeld, and TSV 1860 Munich, scoring eight goals and six assists across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Kelvin Nkrumah’s exciting form in the Ghana Premier League has been hard to ignore.

The Medeama winger has been one of the standout performers this season, helping the Tarkwa based club climb to second place with his pace and creativity on the flanks.

Head coach Otto Addo will lead his first training session in Nagoya on Wednesday, as Ghana prepares for their Kirin Cup clash against Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, before taking on South Korea later in the week.
