Accra Hearts of Oak has constituted a new Interim Management Committee (IMC) to steer the affairs of the club following the resignation of Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah earlier this week.
The new IMC was announced in a statement released and signed by Hearts of Oak Executive Chairman Togbe Afede XIV on September 12, 2026. Long-serving members of the club, Vincent Sowah Odotei and Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, have been appointed to the committee.
Former Ghana Tourism Authority CEO Akwasi Agyemang, who previously served on the club’s board, has also joined the IMC and will oversee operations.
Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe will chair the committee, while Sowah Odotei will be responsible for administration. The new IMC is expected to oversee the club’s affairs following Emunah’s departure.

“The Club therefore asks all to lend their support to the IMC to ensure success in their work” a section of the club’s statement on the appointment read.
