Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has called for stronger communication between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the national team players as he works to build a more stable side.
Queiroz says clarity, honesty and proper communication will be important in preparing the core of the team for future competitions.
“We have to have the core of the team prepared, ready to come with clarity, honesty, right communication between the federation and the players,” Queiroz said.
He was speaking at a press conference on Monday, September 28, ahead of Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against The Gambia on Tuesday.
The match will be Queiroz’s second competitive game in charge of the Black Stars after Ghana lost 1-0 to Côte d’Ivoire in Bouaké last Thursday, September 24.
With Ghana seeking a response to that defeat, Queiroz is also looking to establish a clear structure around the national team and improve coordination between the players and the federation.
Ghana will face The Gambia on Tuesday as both teams look to secure their first points of the qualifying campaign.
