Black Princesses head coach Yusif Basigi says a tour of Europe will serve the team well in their preparations for the U-20 women’s World Cup in France.

Ghana’s U-20 women’s side have been drawn in Group A along with host nation France and will open the competition against the latter on August 5 in Vannes.

Basigi believes testing themselves against quality European opposition will give the team a good sense of what to expect when the tournament commences.

He disclosed that the processes that must be fulfilled for that wish to materialize have already been set in motion.

I have informed my management committee of our plans and they are also pushing the request with the Ministry.

We understand that these things have to go through the various channels.

The Minister was also out of the country so now that he is back he will go through the proposal and make the necessary recommendations.

The scouting unit of the Princesses are also expected to submit some key names, mostly foreign based before camping officially starts.
