I will knockout Magdaleno- Isaac Dogboe

Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe will seek to end the nation’s wait for a world title as he challenges American Jessie Magdaleno for the World Boxing Organization World Super Bantamweight Title in Philadelphia on Saturday.

The two boxers go into what is expected to be a tightly contested bout with similar records, as the two are still yet to lose a fight.

The build up to the bout has been nothing short of controversial, after Dogboe’s father, Paul, made some ill comments against Magdaleno, which certainly go down well with the American.

Saturday’s bout promises to be interesting, and Dogboe, the challenger, is upbeat about his chances and is eying a knockout against the champion.

“Jessie [Magdaleno] is a great boxer. He’s quick but hasn’t really been punched yet, but he deserves credit because he is a champion.

“This is a fight I’m really looking forward to and I know that definitely it is going to be a knockout for team Dogboe,” he said.

Dogboe will become Ghana’ eighth world champion if he emerges victorious against Magdaleno.
