Black Satellites head coach Jimmy Cobblah is hoping to constitute the core of his team for the U- 20 Afcon qualifiers with players from the Ghana Premier League.

Due to the unfavourable nature of the Ghana Premier League schedule, the gaffer has had to share players with their clubs.

The situation has made it difficult for the technical handlers to rely on a group that will always be available.

With the Ghana Premier League set for a break from midweek matches the technical team of Ghana’s U-20 side are looking to take advantage.

We are expecting to get the Premier boys in full from the 23rd of April.

Next week there will be no midweek matches

We are hoping to benefit from the situation and with that we are sure to get a standing team because now we don’t have one,” he told Citi Sports.

Ghana’s Black Satellites await the winner of the Algeria and Tunisia encounter, with the Algerians leading 3 – 1 from the first leg played.

Ghana will be hoping to make it to the competition in Niger after failing to make the last edition in Zambia.
