XI Wonders head coach Mumuni Gamel ‘displeased’ with GHPL coverage plans

Head coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Mumuni Gamel, has stated his displeasure at this league season’s broadcast arrangements with StarTimes.

StarTimes, broadcast partners of the league, has rolled out its programme of covering league matches at selected venues due to the logistical challenges and the need to produce better images for television.

The plan will mean that double-headers on television will be frequent during the season.

While some clubs have hailed the plan, others are not too happy and Mumuni Gamel is one of the people who are amused by the new plan.

“StarTimes have taken their decision and we are compelled to follow it. However, I am not happy with it because it puts the away team at a disadvantage.

No one knows how things will play out when, for instance, I have to play two matches on the road. So, I am not happy with the decision.”

Match day 4 saw the Bechem United vs AshantiGold and Elmina Sharks vs WAFA matches covered live at the Baba Yara Stadium at 3pm and 6pm respectively.
