Kwadwo Asamoah’s move to Inter dependent on Champions League football

Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah’s proposed move to Italian giants Inter Milan, has been thrown into doubt, with the Nerazzurri yet to secure Champions League football for next season.

Asamoah, whose contract with Italian Cup champions Juventus runs out at the end of the season, has reportedly agreed a 3 year deal with Inter Milan in principle.

The deal between the two parties is however dependent on the Nerazzurri qualifying for next season’s champions league – and they are currently 5th, 2 points behind 4th placed Lazio with just 2 games remaining.

Inter will need either Lazio or AS Roma to drop points in either of their remaining two games to have a chance of making a return to Europe’s elite club competition after a six year absence.

Former French champions AS Monaco are also reportedly closely monitoring the situation, and are expected to swoop in should the Inter deal fall through.

Asamoah has spent six years at Juventus winning 12 major titles with the club.
