Black Maidens draw hosts Uruguay in U-17 Women’s WC

Ghana’s Under 17 women’s national team have been drawn alongside hosts Uruguay in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup later this year.

The Black Maidens, are also paired with Finland and New Zealand in Group A of the tournament which will take place from 13 November to 1 December.

Ghana will face Uruguay in the opening game of the tournament, before taking on Finland and New Zealand in the final game.

Ghana advanced to the final of the 2018 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup on Sunday after a 19-0 aggregate win over Djibouti in the final qualifying round.

Full draw:

Group A: Uruguay, Ghana, Finland, New Zealand

Group B: CONCACAF 1, South Africa, Japan, Brazil

Group C: CONCACAF 3, Cameroon, Germany, Korea DPR

Group D: Korea Republic, Spain, CONCACAF 3, Colombia
