Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced the sale of forward Saddick Adams to rivals Ashanti Gold Sporting Club.

The former Black Starlets star endured a difficult one year spell with Kotoko, which was blighted with injuries and a lack of goals.

Kotoko made the news public in a post on their official Twitter account on Saturday, and thanked the player for his time at the club.

The 28-year old famously helped Kotoko win last season’s MTN FA Cup, scoring a first half hat trick to secure a 3-1 victory for Kotoko against bitter rivals Hearts of Oak.

Adams becomes the second high profile player to join AshGold from Kotoko this transfer window, after former Kotoko vice captain Eric donkor made the move earlier this month.
