Kwesi Donsu scored twice to hand Medeama a 2-1 over defending league champions, Aduana Stars, on Sunday at the Tarkwa T&A Park.
The match was an outstanding league match from Week 5 of the season when Aduana Stars was taking in part CAF club competitions.
Medeama took the lead after 6 minutes through Kwesi Donsu who shot into the net from an assist from Justice Blay.
Aduana Stars found a response after 50 minutes through a penalty converted by Sam Adams.
Medeama, who had goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi sent off in the 76th minute, retook the lead in the 89th minute after Donsu scored from a free kick.
The result sends Medeama to the top of the league table on 23 points while Aduana Stars are 11 points but they have played four matches less.
