CLUB launches Jama promotion ahead of World Cup

CLUB Lager has launched its first national promotion to celebrate and reward Ghanaians during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Dubbed “Charlie” Won Shi Jama!, the promotion will reward one lucky consumer with GHC20,000 each week from 28th May until 12th August 2018.

Other instant prizes available are 500,000 bottles of beer and airtime.

Speaking at the launch of the Campaign, Mr. Philip Redman, ABL’s Country Director, said “football is part of our social DNA and the promotion gives CLUB consumers and enthusiastic football fans the chance to win fantastic prizes during the FIFA World Cup.”

In addition, Ms. Ewurafua Addo-Atuah, ABL’s Marketing Head, explained that the national promotion which will be run on special edition “Charlie” Won Shi Jama! CLUB 625ml bottles.

The bottle will feature the Ghana flag alongside the 2018 FIFA World Cup emblem.

This Promotion will give Charlies the chance to come together and cheer on their favourite teams during the tournament.

“We urge consumers to text the 6-digit alphanumeric code under the special edition crowns to the short code, 1931, (a symbolic year for CLUB as its year of production) for a chance to win. Consumers can redeem free beer instantly when they see a beer image under the crown and airtime winners can share airtime with a friend,” Ms. Addo-Atuah said.

There is no cost for text messages sent to the short code 1931.

CLUB will as part of its campaign, reward consumers during in-bar activations across the country during this year’s FIFA World Cup™. CLUB Lager was first brewed in 1931 and continues to be brewed with the same dedication to quality since 1931.
