Former Black Stars players Mohammed Gargo, Sam Johnson and Godfred Aduobe were joined by other scouts and coaches for the second edition of the Betway Talent Search at the Schools and Colleges Park in Cape Coast.

Over three hundred young talented football talents between 18 and 25 from Cape Coast and surrounding communities came to showcase their skills for selection. A total of thirty-two (32) players were selected from Central Region for the Southern Trials scheduled for the 3rd September 2018.

Coaches and scouts were extremely excited with the the skills and talents exhibited by the young football talents on the pitch.

The second edition of the Betway Talent Search also had Eric Antwi of Lizzy’s Sports Complex, Roscoe Micheal Krieling and Godfrey Malambule taking part as coaches.

The talent search initiative by Betway, Ghana’s leading online sports betting company, offers young unsigned football talents an opportunity to showcase their skills and talents to coaches and scouts. Also offers them an opportunity to meet and interact with some top Ghanaian football legends.

Mohammed Gargo said “We are happy with what we have seen today in Cape Coast. We have been able to identify some great talents here. Cape Coast has been amazing.”

The final tryouts of this year’s Betway Talent Search will be held in Accra on the 1st September 2018 at the University of Ghana School Stadium.

The winners of this year’s Betway Talent Search will be drafted into the four Ghana Premier league clubs sponsored by Betway Ghana. This falls in line with their continuous effort to develop sports in Ghana.
