Ghana defender, Abdul Baba Rahman has declared himself fully fit, after featuring for German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 in a German Cup game on Friday.

It was Rahman’s first start for the Blues since December 2016, just before he left for the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon the following month, where he sustained a knee injury that has kept him out ever since.

Rahman, who is in second loan spell at Schalke from Chelsea, played the whole 90 minutes as Schalke defeated German fourth tier side FC Schweinfurt 2-0 in the DFB-Pokal.

”I feel really good,” said Baba after his 23rd appearance for Schalke 04.

”I feel 100 percent and I’ve got my strength back.

”With more match practice, you can regain your strength quicker.”

The 24 year old former Grether Furth and Augsburg left back is in the last year of his 2 year loan spell at Schalke after rejoining in the 2017/2018 season following an earlier spell the season before.
