Ghana’s Andre Ayew found the net for Fenerbahce in their 1-1 draw with Besiktas in an Istanbul derby played at the Sugru Saracoglu Stadium.
Ayew’s rose to meet a cross from Hasan Ali in the 71st minute and head it home to give Fenerbahce a share of the points after they fell behind to a Ryan Babel strike in the 40th minute.
The goal was Ayew’s 2nd for the club since joined in the summer on loan from Swansea City and he expressed his delight at the goal but he admitted that a victory would have made the team happier.

The result leaves Fenerbahce 13th on the Turkish Super League table with 7 points.
Before the match, Fenerbahce honoured some of their former players including ex-Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah who played for the team between 2005 and 2008.
