Emmanuel Eboue: Former Arsenal player interested in Kotoko coaching job

Former Arsenal defender, Emmanuel Eboue, says he would be interested in coaching Asante Kotoko if given the chance.

Kotoko are looking for a new coach after recently parting ways with Paa Kwesi Fabin.

Fabin was the subject of interest from a club in South Africa and after initial misunderstanding with Kotoko over his exit, there was an agreement between himself and Kotoko to end their working relationship.

Several names, including C.K. Akunnor and Yusif Abubakar, former Aduana Stars head coach, have been linked with the vacant post

Eboue told Oman FM in an interview on Thursday that he had a good understanding of the team due to interactions with some Kotoko players and he would be happy to help the team with what he learned from his time in Europe.

“It is not 100 percent that I am in line for the Kotoko job but then, when I heard that Kotoko were looking for a coach, I became interested.

I admit that I do not have a lot of coaching experience but I love Kotoko and I know the team because I have watched them for a while.

I know two former Kotoko players, Ben Adama and Ahmed Toure, and I have seen Kotoko a few times so I will be happy to share what I know with them and help. Kotoko is a big club in Africa so I am open to such a chance.”

Eboue is currently working on projects on the continent designed to help young footballers with their careers.
