The Black Starlets of Ghana trained on Thursday ahead of their second Group A game of the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-17 tournament in Niger.
The team went through a recovery session after their goalless draw on Wednesday when they took on the host nation.
Head coach Karim Zito supervised the session together with his assistant, Yaw Preko, and other members of the backroom.
Zito said that the session was to improve the weaknesses that showed during the match against Niger and get the ready for their match on Saturday against Togo.
“What is gone is gone and I am working with the players to get things right. So many things happened during the match on Wednesday and so, we are working on things like goal scoring, moving into space and learning to keep things simple for ourselves.
These things are very important because of the nature and size of the pitch. The players struggled with that and we need to simplify things to help us get what we want.”
The team will need to win against Togo and or worst, get a score draw to edge Niger out based on goals scored.
Niger drew goalless with Ghana and Togo and so, goals for Ghana and Togo will put them in a position to make it to the semi-finals.
