We need more hands – FIFA Normalization Committee member

A Member of the FIFA Normalization Committee for Ghana football, Naa Odofoley Norte, has bemoaned the amount of work placed on the doorstep of the Committee.

The 4-member committee has been working forabout a month, after being tasked by FIFA to assume the day to day running of the Ghana Football Association among other things.

FIFA announced during the inauguration of the Committee that more members would be named in addition to the four, but there has been no additions since.

According to the private legal practitioner, the Committee needs extra help, as the work they are faced with is overwhelming.

“It has been very challenging during the first month. The work at hand is a lot for just four people and we need more hands,” she said.

Normalization committee takes off poorly as member insults journalist
A member of FIFA’s Normalization Committee set up to manage Ghana football, Kofi Duah Adonteng, did not take kindly to a journalist who questioned his lateness to the Committee’s maiden press conference on Wednesday.

Agitated that the journalist, Ekow Asmah, had the courage to question his lateness and also remind him that it “sets a bad example,” Kofi Duah Adonteng shouted at him to “keep quiet.”

The lawyer and former Managing Director of Ghana Post, who had apparently arrived an hour late to the maiden press conference of the Normalization Committee, went on to describe the journalist’s concerns as stupid.

“Have you asked me why and how [I was late]? I’m not interested in this stupidity,” Mr. Adonteng remarked.
