Raphael Dwamena grabs first goal for Levante in Spanish Cup

Ghana’s Raphael Dwamena got his first goal for Levante as they beat Lugo 2-0 in the Spanish Cup on Thursday afternoon.

Since joining the club in the summer, Levante had made 4 appearances in both the league and cup without scoring but his fifth showing in all competitions proved to be the big moment for him.

In the 93rd minute of the game, Dwamena was fed by Ruben Rochina’s lob and he raced at full speed to finish off the chance into Lugo’s unguarded net as their goalie had gone up the pitch to find an equaliser to Levante’s opening goal scored by Coke in the 80th minute.

The victory sent Levante to the last 16 of the Spanish Cup.

Dwamena posted a picture of himself on his way to scoring and he labelled the picture “Eye on the prize”.

What’s next for Dwamena?
