Asante Kotoko will leave Ghana on Friday through Togo to Cameroon for their CAF Confederation Cup tie against Cotonsport on Sunday.

But experienced midfielder Jordan Opoku has been dropped from coach CK Akonnor’s 18-man squad for the trip. Guinean import Naby Keita has also been left out but there are places for midfielders Prince Acquah and Stephen Nyarko who return to the squad after missing the last round matches.

Kotoko were supposed to have left Ghana on Thursday but they were forced into making a last-minute change to their travelling arrangements.

Kotoko take on Cotonsport in the first leg of their final playoff round of the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers on Sunday with the return leg set for a week later.

Success for Kotoko over two legs will send them to the group stage of the competition.

Full squad:
Goalkeepers: Felix Annan, Muntari Tagoe
Defenders: Amos Frimpong, Augustine Sefah, Abass Mohammed, Agyeman Badu, Abdul Ismail Ganiu, Wahab Adams
Midfielders: Richard Senanu, Prince Acquah, Umar Bashiru, Kwame Bonsu, Stephen Nyarko, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Maxwell Baakoh
Forwards: Songne Yacouba, Obed Owusu, Abdul Fataw Safiu.
