Tottenham agree to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus £64m

In a potential blockbuster deal, Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus.

Sky Sports report that a fee of £64.4m (GH¢423m) has been agreed between the two clubs with personal terms yet to be settled on between the player and the North London club.

Dybala had been expected to move to Man Utd in a swap deal involving striker Romelu Lukaku but the Red Devils pulled out of the move despite a deal having been reached with Juventus.

They had apparently bulked at Dybala’s hefty wage demands.

Spurs will hope that they can succeed where Man United failed by luring the talented Argentinian playmaker to the Premier League.

Dybala is expected to be a replacement for Christian Eriksen who has expressed his desire to leave the club this summer and is being targeted by Manchester United.

While clearly a player with immense ability, Dybala has struggled to retain a place in the Juventus starting lineup particularly since the club signed Cristiano Ronaldo.

He however played 42 times last season, scoring 10 goals as Juventus won the domestic double and reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Spurs have also inquired about the possibility of signing  Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona with the out-of-favour Brazilian keen to reignite his club career.

According to reports, they are favourites to sign the player.
