The 2019 edition of the Baby Jet U-16 tournament will have AshFoam as its headline sponsor.

The Baby Jet Under-16 tournament has been christened after Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s all-time top scorer.

The founder of the competition, Gyan on Tuesday, 10th September 2019 visited AshFoam as part of the deal and had an industrial tour in the company.

The General Manager of AshFoam, George Massih highlighted the importance of partnering this year’s tournament:

“Our brand is one of the big supporters of sports in the country.

We have tried to support football in all aspects of football and doing it again is very important to us.

We are in collaboration with Asamoah Gyan and we hope to find the best talents at the under-16 level.

And even with that, we have some of last year’s talents here and the best player of the tournament also here, Matthew Cudjoe.

We want to assure everyone here that we want to help find the replacement of Asamoah Gyan when he finally calls it time on football.”

The all-time leading goal scorer of the Black Stars expressed his gratitude with the immense support shown to help make this year’s tournament a success.

“Our sponsors are doing an amazing job. AshFoam has been helping unearth talents in the country and has been doing that for a long time.

Since the inception of this tournament, I have been behind the scenes and I am so glad AshFoam is doing all of this for us.

We are very grateful and we know our grassroots have made us who we are and so giving back to the very place we had our exposure is important.

The foundation of everything is very important and I cannot hide my feelings about this partnership.

Everyone is talking about youth development in football and it is important that are doing this tournament.”

The tournament will commence today at the Baby Jet Sports Complex inside Accra Academy.
