How the match played out?

Ghana’s team failed to find goals in the first half despite creating some good chances with Shafiu Mumuni and Emmanuel Gyamfi both missing gold chances to open the scoring.

Burkina Faso goalkeeper, Oula Abbas, did his best to keep Ghana at bay and his saves plus poor finishing from Ghana provided the platform for the Burkinabe victory.

In the 94th minute, Pognongo found his way past the Ghanaian defense and finished beyond Felix Annan, who was in post the team.

The return leg of the match will be in Ouagadougou on October 18 and the winner will head to the 2020 CHAN tournament which will be hosted by Cameroon.
