São Tomé and Príncipe will join Ghana, South Africa and Sudan in Group C of the AFCON 2021 qualifiers after they overcame Mauritius 5-2 on aggregate.

The Central African country beat Mauritius 3-1 away from home before completing the rout with a 2-1 victory at home.

The group stage draw in July had the winner of that tie filling up the last slot in Group C which also contains 4 time winners Ghana, 1996 champions South African and Sudan.

They will now be battling for a first qualification to the tournament to be hosted by Cameroon.

The first round of qualifiers are scheduled for November with Ghana facing South Africa on November 11 and São Tomé and Príncipe facing Sudan.
