Ghana’s journey to the 2020 African Nations Championships ended on Sunday after a goalless draw with Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou.
The team was hoping to get a victory away from home after losing the first leg 1-0 in Kumasi two weeks ago.
However, the team’s best efforts to find a goal were fruitless on the day and that resulted in their elimination from the qualifiers.
The result means that Ghana’s Black Stars B will miss its 3rd straight CHAN tournament after failing to grab tickets for the 2016 and 2018 editions.
Head coach of the team, Maxwell Konadu, was in charge of those failed campaigns and the newest result had made it three straight botched attempts to go to the African Nations Championships since he made the final in 2014.
