Algeria’s Youcef Belaïli scores straight from corner after failing seconds earlier [VIDEO]

Algeria winger Youcef Belaïli is a man of many talents and a lot of confidence in his abilities.

Never has this been more apparent than on Monday in Algeria’s game against Botswana.

Belaïli, the usual set-piece taker for the Algerian national team went over to the corner flag as the North African nation had just won one.

Despite having lots of options in the box, Belaïli took aim at goal straight from the corner and would have scored had the Botswanan keeper not been alert.

The goalkeeper pushed it up and over the bar for another corner and must have thought that there was no way Belaïli would try it again.

How very wrong he was!

Belaïli fired another ball in and this time the keeper wasn’t ready. He missed the ball and it nestled in the back of the net leaving the defence and the goalie himself stunned.

The goal turned out to be the winner for Algeria who maintained their 100 percent record in the AFCON 2021 Qualifiers
