Despite not being able to help Ghana to get to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Ghana’s Evans Mensah was named in the competition’s best team on Friday.
The team was put together by members of CAF’s Technical Study Group deployed to assess the technical aspect of the competition and put together its report for the growth of the game on the continent.
Mensah was the only Ghanaian named in the competition and he was joined by 5 Egyptians, 4 Ivorians, one South African with Egypt head coach, Shawki Gareeb, chosen you handle the elite selection of players.

The tournament ended on Friday with Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa getting the right to represent Africa in the 2020 Olympic Games football tournament in Tokyo.
