Matthew Anim Cudjoe has been tipped by several pundits and sports personalities in Ghana to reach the apex in the football realm.

The 17-year-old is a product of the Baby Jet U-16 tournament where he helped his side, Great Somax defeats Cedar Stars Academy 2-1 to lift the overall trophy.

It was no surprise he emerged the best player of the competition as he dazzled the fans and contributed six goals including a hat trick on his way to victory.

After his exploits in the Baby Jet U-16 tournament, he was picked up by Anim Addo, the manager of Black Stars striker, Asamoah Gyan for grooming and mentorship.

Matthew Cudjoe has since been tipped by Asamoah Gyan for greatness and, since his move to Asante Kotoko, he has become an even more intriguing prospect than he has ever been.

His step up to the big stage came in the second half of Asante Kotoko’s win over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in Game Week 6 of the Ghana Premier League.

He almost laid on an assist minutes after coming on but Richard Attah showed great reflexes to deny Kotoko.

His efforts then resulted in the penalty that gave Kotoko their winner.

After Kotoko’s win at the Accra Sports Stadium against Hearts of Oak, the young lad wassee receiving advice from Asamoah Gyan whom he shares the same manager with and his brother Baffour.
