Ghanaian long and triple jumper, Deborah Acquah, has set a new indoor triple jump national record with a 13.77m jump at the Charlie Thomas Invitational meet in College Station,Texas.

The feat comes just 17 days after the African Games silver medallist in the long jump broke the indoor national record in the long jump with a 6.57m mark at the Ted Nelson Invitational in Texas.

Returning after 2 years away from the event, Acquah took apart the 3 year old record of 13.60m, set by Nadia Eke on 14 January, 2017.

Acquah’s leap was also a Texas A&M indoor record, beating the previous mark of 13.13m set by Colleen Thomas in 2011.

Deborah now holds both Ghana’s indoor long and triple jump records.
