“Drawing with AshGold was a bad result for us”- Hearts coach Edward Odoom

Interim head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Edward Odoom, was very disappointed with the goalless draw that Hearts played out with AshGold in Thursday;s Week 8 tie in the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians were hopeful of getting a good result after the 1-0 win at Dreams in Week 7 but they failed to find anything on the day.

The result placed Hearts 9th on the table on 11 points and after the match, Odoom stated in the post-match press conference he was very displeased with the outcome of the match.

“It was not a good result for us at all because we did everything to win the match. However, no knows what will happen next. I think that in football, one can win, draw or lose so we have to move on from the result and look ahead.”

Since Hearts of Oak beat Dwarfs 2-1 in Week 3, they have not won a match at home this season. They have recorded a loss to Kotoko and a draw with AshGold and the trend was over a major concern to Odoom.

“The home results are not good at all for us. If we are winning away from home and we cannot do same at home, then it is big worry for me. I cannot place a finger on what is going on but I assure you that we will solve the challenge.”

Hearts head to Aduana Stars in Week 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
